2013 Geelong Revival

Last weekend the town of Geelong played host to the annual Geelong Revival Motoring Festival, which transformed the entire foreshore into a ¼ mile race track and showground.

There was plenty to see and do, with a variety of special vehicles and motorbikes racing along the track, hanging out in the pits or parked on display. There were stylish and cool cars everywhere, from the green hills of the foreshore reserve to the town square, even on Geelong pier itself!

The weekends weather was superb, making the event a truly beautiful scene, with palm trees cast over the calm waters of the bay and hundreds of vehicles shimmering in the mid 30C sunshine. It reminded me a lot of holidays
in the south of France!

My favourite car from the show was a lovely little red Porsche 356, with the appropriate number plate, FUN 356.
The owner mentioned he’d driven the car all the way down from Sydney just for the show. Now that’s commitment!

However the true stand out for this show was the lovely girls from the Penrite stand. Not only were they undeniably gorgeous, but extremely friendly too! I should also mention the official Geelong Revival girls, who were sporting a very cool vintage military-look uniform, which really added a sense of occasion.

How could anyone not enjoy this festival, with its coastal outlook, warm weather, classic cars and beautiful women!
I highly recommend you put this in your calendar for 2014! http://www.geelongrevival.com.au/
