Easternats Winton 2011

Burnouts and bogans!

What can I say about this event? The spectators only want to see people with mullets, in Aussie Muscle cars shred some rubber!

Easternats has copped loads of flack, every year there is a new complaint about the same old thing.. It’s too loud, which disturbs the residents living near Sandown raceway. This year  Easternats was moved to Winton raceway and the event suffered.

Firstly.. to the people who complained! The land around Sandown raceway is cheap for a reason.. If you don’t like the sound of cars racing and the smell of smoke.. DON’T BUY PROPERTY THERE!

Secondly.. This event helps stem the stupidity of local drivers. It provided space to let off some steam in a comparatively safe environment.

Moving this event to Winton resulted in lower participation less spectators.

Also Winton isn’t exactly the best spectator venue, with such a limited space, I found myself wishing that I’d brought a zoom lens.

Still.. if you wanted smoke.. you go it!

About the author: Lloyd Waldron

Cars are more then transport, they represent more than freedom or independence and they are a part of our identity. Cars reflect the personality of their owners. You can instantly tell if the owner takes pride in themselves; you'll know if they have a messy bedroom and occasionally you'll guess their sense of humor. Cars say so much about people, so I figure I should say something about them..
